Today marks our first anniversary here at GFC. I remember thinking about how would we be received? How would my kids be received? Will we be suitable for ministry? Just some common questions that go along with the territory. I have a gentleman that has tells me every Sunday morning
“You still have a job I see…” or “they decided to keep you around I guess..” Every week he just makes me laugh. I alway respond: “I am thankful!!” That I know for a fact!! I am thankful for all the wonderful GFC family that has surrounded me and my family with love and kindness. I AM THANKFUL. Those of you who always pray for us and want the best for us. I AM THANKFUL. For the lives that we as GFC are reaching for CHrist!! I AM THANKFUL. FOr the leadership and staff of this church. I AM SO THANKFUL. Why God chose someone like me with all my faults, failures, and and dirty laundry??? I don’t really know….but, I AM THANKFUL!!!!

FreedomFest
•July 6, 2009 • 1 CommentWOW!! Let me begin by saying “God is Good ALL the Time!!”
Our 4th of July celebrations usually consisted of a few friends and family gathered at the lake enjoying the day and each others company. The night would always end with the family Fireworks show. We would all buy loads of “works” and all the guys and kids would put on a display at the end of the night.
Keep in mind, that at this particular lake there were more than 2,000 people every year. Never, ever did I imagine that people could accept Christ during a 4th of July celebration! That is until this past week. During FreedomFest we were able to see close to 1,000 people attend the service and display. The most awsome thing about FreedomFest is that 20 people, young and old, accepted Christ in their hearts. WOW!!! I will never see a fireworks display the same again. Now, anytime I see a “works” display, I will know that there is an opportunity for me to share Jesus!

The Power Of One!
•May 11, 2009 • 1 CommentOne of my Favorite worship leaders is Israel Houghton. He has an AMAZING Voice, INCREDIBLE Passion, and an Anointing like none other. Recently I had the privedge to see him in concert. Let me just say…. Jaw dropping! I heard him sing this song called the Power of One.
This is what I wanted to share with everyone!
“WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD TOGETHER BUT IT ALL BEGINS WITH ONE!”
Not trying to reach one person at a time but, everyONE of us doing our part to reach this world for Christ!
Drive ‘09 Experience
•May 7, 2009 • Leave a CommentOne of the Highlights Of Drive was after our Main Session with Andy Stanley. Jerry, Lisa, Jeremy, Sylvia, and Myself ended up at the local Waffle House for “dessert.” Of course, the $5.99 special was too good to pass up. So much for “will-power!” Anyways, while there we met a some folks from Michigan. They were pretty cool! But for me, meeting the Staff Pastors from a church in Venenzuela was totally AMAZING. Their church has 4 services with 3500 in total attendance each Sunday. They have also started 16 church plants!! WOW!! That’s Incredible!! (as BJ would say) I so, want to go to Venenzuela and see them in action! Here is a picture of the guys and us.
May God continue to give us all a passion for the Lost!

“Irony”
•May 1, 2009 • Leave a CommentAlways liked grass to be green,
but I just can’t take the rain
it seems sometimes
And that’s how it is with You and me, I hate the very things I need sometimes
It’s like a thousand pounds of irony come crashing down on top of me the day I learned what it means to be free/
A heart that is enslaved to You, two feet that remain chained to You and follow You wherever You may lead/
Oh, and then You’ll see a heart that’s free
Well it might just be stupidity, but I know my pride can swallow me sometimes
And I know You know much more than me, but I forget that fact so easily sometimes
Oh, but now I see Your plans for me
Oh, and now I know the grand scheme
Just ’cause I want it doesn’t mean I need it ’cause I know You’ve got the best for me
I may not know what, I may not see it, but help me see You through the irony
Lord, give to me, oh, a heart that’s free
Chain me now to You
Lord, give to me, oh, a heart that’s free
Enslaved to Your truth
